What is borosilicate glass?+
Borosilicate glass is a high-quality, laboratory-grade glass known for its durability and heat resistance. It is the standard material used in premium glassware.
What is the difference between 10mm, 14mm, and 18mm joints?+
10mm offers compact airflow and is common on smaller or travel-sized pieces. 14mm is the industry-standard size compatible with most accessories. 18mm provides larger airflow for higher-volume pulls.
What is the difference between a 45-degree and 90-degree joint?+
A 45-degree joint angles outward, commonly used on beakers and angled setups. A 90-degree joint points straight upward, used on rigs and straight tubes.
What does perc or percolator mean?+
A percolator diffuses and cools airflow through water filtration. Different perc styles offer varying levels of diffusion and draw resistance.
What is a recycler?+
A recycler is a water pipe designed to continuously cycle water during use, resulting in smoother function and reduced splashback.
What’s the difference between 5mm, 7mm, and 9mm glass?+
These refer to wall thickness. 9mm is heavier and more durable. 5mm is lighter and more affordable. 7mm is a popular balance of durability and value.
What does “Pounder” mean?+
A Pounder is a style of hand pipe with a flat base that lets it stand upright on its own. The design is stable, practical, and a popular everyday choice.
What is an ash catcher and do I need one?+
An ash catcher attaches between your bowl and bong’s joint to trap ash before it enters your piece. It keeps your bong cleaner longer and adds extra water filtration — a great add-on if you want to reduce cleaning and improve smoothness.
What is a downstem?+
A downstem is the tube connecting your bowl to the bong’s water chamber. It directs smoke into the water for filtration and cooling. Most are removable and come in standard sizes (10mm, 14mm, 18mm).
What is a carb cap?+
A carb cap covers your banger after loading a dab. It restricts airflow to trap heat, letting you dab at lower temperatures for better flavor and more efficient vaporization.
What is a quartz banger?+
A quartz banger is the bowl attachment used for dabbing concentrates. Quartz heats quickly, retains heat well, and delivers clean, flavorful dabs — preferred over glass or titanium for superior flavor and durability.
What are terp pearls?+
Terp pearls (dab pearls) are small balls placed in your banger that spin with airflow during a dab. They distribute heat and concentrate evenly for better vaporization and flavor, especially at lower temperatures.
What is a steamroller?+
A steamroller is a hand pipe with an open carb on the front end of the tube. This delivers larger, more direct hits than a standard spoon pipe. Best suited for more experienced smokers.
What is a hand pipe?+
A hand pipe is a compact, portable piece that doesn’t use water. Styles include spoon pipes, chillums, and pounders. They’re simple, easy to carry, and great for everyday use.
What’s the difference between a beaker bong and a straight tube?+
A beaker bong has a wide base that holds more water, offering extra stability and smoother pulls. A straight tube has a uniform cylindrical shape delivering a faster, more direct hit. Beakers suit longer sessions; straight tubes are great for quick rips.
Fixed vs. removable downstem — which is better?+
A removable downstem can be taken out for cleaning and swapped for different diffuser styles. A fixed downstem is built into the piece and more durable with no joint to crack. Removable gives flexibility; fixed gives sturdiness.
What are your bangers made of?+
Unless otherwise noted in the product listing, our bangers are made of crystal quartz — the preferred material for dabbing due to its clean flavor, fast heat-up time, and durability.
Do your dab rigs come with a banger included?+
Banger inclusion varies by product. Check the individual product listing for what’s included. Some rigs are sold as complete sets; others are the rig only.
How do I pick the right bowl or banger for my piece?+
Match the joint size (10mm, 14mm, or 18mm) and angle (45° or 90°) of your piece. Also make sure the gender matches — female joint needs a male bowl/banger, and vice versa. Check your product listing for joint specs.
What’s the difference between dabbing and smoking?+
Smoking uses combustion to burn dry herb. Dabbing uses heat to vaporize concentrates (wax, shatter, live resin, etc.) without burning. Dabbing delivers stronger, more flavor-forward results with less combustion byproduct. Smoking is simpler to start with; dabbing offers a more elevated experience once you have the right setup.
How do I control dab temperature?+
The most common method is heat-and-wait: heat your banger until it glows, then let it cool 30–60 seconds before dabbing (varies by banger thickness). Lower temps (400–500°F) preserve flavor; higher temps produce bigger clouds. A dab thermometer or e-nail gives the most precise control.
How do I improve dab flavor?+
Dab at lower temperatures (400–500°F), wipe your banger with a cotton swab after every use, use a carb cap to maximize vaporization, and store concentrates in a cool dark place to preserve terpenes. Clean equipment makes the biggest difference.
How do I store concentrates and dabs properly?+
Use silicone or glass containers in a cool, dark place away from heat and air. For long-term storage, refrigerate. Avoid leaving concentrates in sunlight or a hot car — heat degrades potency and flavor.
How do I hit a bong properly?+
Fill the bong with enough water to submerge the downstem about 1 inch. Pack your bowl, seal your lips inside the mouthpiece, and light the bowl while inhaling slowly to fill the chamber with smoke. Remove the bowl and clear the chamber with one full breath. Start slow and build from there.
How do I use a carb cap?+
Heat your banger to your preferred temperature, add your concentrate, then immediately place the carb cap over the opening. Rotate or spin the cap to direct airflow across the concentrate. This traps heat for efficient, flavorful vaporization at lower temperatures.
How do I use an ash catcher?+
Attach the ash catcher to your bong’s joint, then place your bowl in the ash catcher’s joint. Make sure sizes and angles match. Add a small amount of water to the ash catcher’s chamber and use your piece as normal. Empty and clean it regularly.
Should I use ice in my bong?+
If your bong has an ice catcher (notches inside the tube), adding ice will cool smoke for a noticeably smoother hit. Make sure your piece has an ice pinch before adding ice — dropping cubes into the water chamber can overflow or stress-crack the glass.
How do I make bong hits smoother?+
Use cold or iced water, add an ice catcher if your piece supports it, use an ash catcher for extra filtration, ensure your downstem is fully submerged, and keep your piece clean. Slower, steadier draws also allow smoke to cool before it reaches you.
Do I need to change my bong water?+
Yes — change your bong water after every session. Stale water builds bacteria quickly and noticeably degrades flavor. Fresh water takes seconds and makes a real difference.
How does the Mix & Match bundle builder work?+
Our Mix & Match bundles let you choose multiple items from a curated selection at a discounted price. Add the bundle to your cart and follow the on-page prompts to select your items. Discounts are applied automatically.
How do I choose a color for assorted-color items?+
Assorted-color items ship in random colors based on current stock. If you have a preference, add a note at checkout and we’ll do our best to accommodate — though specific colors are not guaranteed.
How do I clean my bong?+
Fill your bong with isopropyl alcohol (90%+ recommended) and coarse salt. Cover the openings and shake vigorously, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. For stubborn buildup, soak for 30 minutes before shaking. Regular cleaning keeps flavor fresh and makes each clean easier.
How do I clean my dab rig?+
While still warm after use, wipe out the banger with a dry cotton swab. For a deeper clean, fill the rig with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, shake, and rinse with warm water. Cleaning your banger after every session preserves flavor and extends its life.
How often should I clean my glass?+
Rinse your bong with warm water after every session and do a full isopropyl alcohol clean at least once a week with regular use. Wipe your dab rig’s banger after every single dab. The more frequently you clean, the better the flavor and the easier each cleaning becomes.
